Education & Training

Pavilion of Hope partners with Southeastern Theological Institute to provide Christian education and training to community residents.   Pavilion of Hope also offers life skills workshops and seminars focused on strengthening families and communities.

Through this partnership, residents can earn up to a Doctorate degree in theology and get certified in a number of other areas such as Lay Counseling or Evangelism.

Residents can also receive training in life skills and job readiness.  Course content is as follows:

Job Readiness Training

  • Preparing resumes  or job applications
  • Preparing cover and thank you letters
  • Interviewing skills
  • Training in effective job seeking
  • Work place expectations
  • Behavior on the job
    • Getting along with co-workers/boss
    • Being reliable and on time
    • Filling out paper work (for example, time sheets)
  • Appropriate attire
